FSU-Republic of Panamá Partnerships
The FSU Center of Population Sciences for Health Empowerment (CPSHE) collaborates with leading institutions in Panamá, including INDICASAT-AIP, The Gorgas Memorial Institute for Health Studies (GORGAS), The National Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation (SENACYT), and renowned Panamanian universities. Our partnerships enable data sharing, interdisciplinary research, and the development of innovative solutions. One key initiative is groundbreaking research on aging. The research has been building and managing clinic- and community-based cohorts targeting underserved populations for the study of factors related to cognitive aging. This research focuses on identifying biomarkers for improving early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) in cohorts of older adults.
